Escort websites

Escort website questions
clients ask me.

These include the awkward ones about money, privacy and what happens if you want to leave. Open any question to read my answer. If yours isn't here, ask me and I'll answer it just as plainly.

Topics on this page

You won't find a price, an uptime percentage, a response time or a ranking promise on this page. Two of those depend on your project, and the other two aren't anyone's to promise. Each one is answered below. Ask me for the figures that apply to you.

Working together

Who you'll be dealing with, how long a site takes, and what happens if you don't like what you see.

About me and how I work The design service, step by step

Do you design websites for independent escorts?
Yes. Escort website design is what I've always done, for independent escorts, companions and agencies. I design each site from scratch around your brand and your boundaries, without starting from an escort website template, and you can edit it yourself. See what escort website design involves.
Who will I actually be dealing with?
It's me, start to finish. I reply to your first message, then I design the site, write the code, set up the hosting and make changes afterwards. Nobody else works here, so you won't be passed on to an account manager or a production team.
How long does a website take?
It depends on how much is custom and when your content arrives. In my experience the build is rarely the slow part; waiting on photos and text is. You'll get a timeline in writing with your quote. If you need it faster, tell me at the start. Rush work is possible and I quote it separately.

Money

There's no price printed anywhere on this site. These answers explain what I quote, when you pay, and what keeps costing money after launch.

What each package includes

Do I have to pay before you start?
No. You see the site working before you pay for it. That's been my policy from the beginning. The 2012 version of this site said "do not EVER pay for a website up front" in those words, and I still stand by it. If a web designer in this industry asks you for the full amount before you've seen anything, treat that as a warning.
Why are there no prices on the website?
Because one printed figure would be wrong for most people reading it. What a site costs depends on how much of it is custom. The packages set out what each tier includes so you can judge the scope, and I'll give you a real number for your project, in writing, before any work starts.

Privacy and discretion

These usually come up before any design questions. Everything described here comes as standard, at no extra cost.

The privacy policy (draft)

Will my real name appear anywhere?
Not unless you want it to. I register domains with privacy protection, keep your legal name out of the site's markup and metadata, and strip location data from photos when they're uploaded. I do all of that on every site as standard.
Will you show my site to other people?
No, unless you tell me you're happy for me to. A client's site only goes on my work page if they opt in. You can also change your mind later and I'll take it down.

Hosting and technical

Suspension, editing the site yourself, who holds the domain, and getting back into a site someone else has locked you out of.

How the hosting is set up

Will my host suspend me?
Not on the hosting I provide. We settle that question before your site launches, so you aren't finding out in the middle of an incident. What I can't do is guarantee how registrars, payment processors, CDNs or ad networks will behave, and anyone who says they can is guessing with your business.
Can I edit the site myself?
Yes, on the Professional tier and above. You can change your text, photos, rates, availability and tour dates yourself, on screens named after the things you actually update. If you'd rather I made the changes, that's fine too.
Who owns my domain name?
You do. It's registered in your name, and you can transfer it away from me whenever you like without asking me first. You should always be able to take your site with you.
I have lost access to my current site. Is it recoverable?
Often, yes. A developer who has stopped replying, a login that no longer works, a domain nobody can find the account for: these are common and usually fixable. The content can often be recovered even when the site itself is gone, so ask me before you give up and start again from scratch.

Search and visibility

A plain answer about rankings. It may not be what you were hoping to hear.

What my SEO work involves

Can you get me to the top of Google?
No, and neither can anyone else. Search engines don't sell positions in organic results, and they change their systems all the time. What I can promise is the work that actually affects rankings: a fast, technically sound, well-structured site with clear, accurate writing. Anyone guaranteeing you page one is either misleading you or planning something that will get your site penalised.

Afterwards

If you ever want to leave, I make it easy.

Ask me anything else

What if I stop working with you?
You take the site with you: the code, the content, the database and the documentation, in a form another developer can pick up. Your domain moves whenever you say. I make leaving easy because I don't want any client to feel stuck with me.

Start your website

Still want to ask something?

Send me your question. I'll give you a straight answer, even if the answer is that I'm not the right person for the job.

You'll be talking to me.

I reply to every message myself, and I'm the one who builds and looks after your site. There's no account manager or reseller in between. I've been building sites for this industry since 2001.
