About
You are hiring
a person, not a pipeline.
SKiPSWEB is one developer who has built for this industry since 2001. The person who answers your first message is the person who designs the site, writes the code, and is still here in three years.

How this started
It started in Chicago, designing websites for local companions, at a time when having a website at all was a competitive advantage. The earliest surviving page says it as plainly as anyone could:
Hi, my name is Skip and I design websites for escorts in Chicago. I have the knowledge and capabilities to design your site with awesome graphics, and fulfill all of your desires. skipsweb.com, April 2002 — from the Internet Archive
The graphics have dated. The proposition has not: work directly with someone who understands the business, and get a site that does not look like everyone else's.
What changed, and what did not
Over 25 years this business has been a design studio, a city directory, a Flash site, a WordPress shop and a search engine. Some of those were good ideas. The history page shows all of them, including the stretch where the site was a parking page and the years where the front door was dark.
What did not change is who does the work. There has never been a sales team here, because there has never been anyone else here.
How I work
Five things you can hold me to.
- You talk to the developer
- Every message, every call, every change. There is nobody to escalate to, because there is nobody in between.
- Nothing up front
- You see the site working before you pay for it. This has been the rule since the beginning, and it is in writing on the 2012 archive.
- Your domain is yours
- Registered in your name, transferable at any time. A client who cannot leave is not a client, they are a hostage.
- Discretion is assumed, not charged for
- I will not use your site as a reference, name you as a client, or put you on the portfolio page unless you tell me I can.
- I will tell you when you do not need me
- If your existing site is fine, or a cheaper package covers it, or the problem is not actually the website — that is the answer you will get.
The point
Longevity is the whole pitch.
Anyone can build you a website this month. The question worth asking is who will still be answering the phone when it needs changing — and in this industry, that question has a bad history.

Who this is for
Independent companions, agencies and adult-industry businesses. That is the entire client list, and it is deliberate.
A generalist agency has to learn your constraints on your budget — which host will not drop you, why a contact form needs screening questions, why a street address on a map is a problem, why ad platforms will not take your money. None of that needs explaining here.
What I will not do
- Promise you a search ranking
- Print an uptime figure I do not measure
- Put invented reviews or ratings in your site's markup
- Publish your site as a reference without asking
- Take work I am not the right person for
Short list, but it rules out most of what has given this industry's web designers a reputation.
Start your website
Start with a conversation.
No obligation and no sales call — just a straight answer about what your project would involve.
You will be talking to the developer.
Not an account manager, not a reseller, not a chatbot. The person who replies to your message is the person who builds and maintains the site — and who has been doing it for this industry since 2001.
